Ensuring Recruitment Success
Responsible for the overall stewardship of the City’s visual brand, the end objective was to create a timeless marketing tool that could be used to reinforce recruitment efforts for both the Police and Fire Departments and to further promote City services. The PD recruitment design was awarded the 2016 Communicator Award for Marketing and Promotion.
While at the City, I worked to streamline requirements gathering process for all City marketing and promotional efforts. The award-winning design increased recruitment effectiveness for both Fire and Police by 54%.
The Communicator Awards are judged and overseen by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts (AIVA), a 600+ member organization of leading professionals from various disciplines of the visual arts dedicated to embracing progress and the evolving nature of traditional and interactive media. Current AIVA membership represents a “Who’s Who” of acclaimed media, advertising, and marketing firms including AirType Studio, Condè Nast, Disney, Keller Crescent, Lockheed Martin, Monster.com, MTV, rabble+rouser, Time Inc., Tribal DDB, Yahoo!, and many others.
